When that is established, you will know the limitations of the property. Knowing the boundary is serious stuff and you should never forget that. Lest you find yourself in a tug of war with people claiming a parcel of your land because theirs are adjoined top yours.

Other than that, it also provides you some more clues and knowledge on what you are subjecting yourself into. Make use of referrals when choosing companies that will do the task for you. You can also ask your real estate agent, but that may cost so much more. Ask about how much it would cost you.

It is also important that you establish what the service includes. It might be limited to setting the limits, or evaluation may also be important. Check their license and make sure they are available to work with you by also making you understand every step that matters. Or how something affects your land and why. Be firm about your decision and stand by it, at all costs.
