Attending The Best Estate Sales Tucson Has To Offer

By Coleen Torres

Finding antique or unique articles for your office or home can be a challenge as there may not be many outlets to locate these items. One of the very best methods of locating exactly what you want or need is to research and attend the estate sales Tucson companies may advertise in the area. It takes some effort and research to locate these virtual treasure troves but it is well worth the effort.

Searching for these sales is easy. They are usually advertised online or in a local paper. If you attend several and develop a relationship with a company that does this kind of work, they would only be too happy to alert you of upcoming events. You can also drive through residential districts on weekends to find these going on.

Always arrive at the function with a list of what you are looking for. You will save a lot of time if the focus is on what you need as these events can be overwhelming with the volume and variety of items offered. It will also veer you away from articles that you just don't need or have no space for.

Always attempt to be early to these events. The first half hour of the sale is critical so you may want to get there at least 15 minutes to one half hour early. You may even find a line at the entrance when you arrive. As soon as the event begins, make a beeline for those items that you are looking for. Getting distracted could cost you the loss of a desired item to another customer.

If it is possible, always try to return to an interesting sale at the end of the time frame. Bargains may abound as sellers do not wish to re-pack, move and store the remainder of the inventory.

Bargain for what you really want to purchase. Never pay the first price as vendors are sometimes only to happy to give you a break if they really need to move the item. Buying several items could also warrant a discount but you will need to ask.

Be aware that many older pieces of furniture, china and glassware are made of quality materials. For some articles, they just don't make them like they used to. Selecting a quality item may give the buyer a rocking chair, teapot or mirror that they will enjoy for a lifetime.

And don't forget about transporting your buys. The worst case scenario is when you find the article of your dreams and have no method of getting it home. Always show up with transportation for your finds. You may have a friend or relative with a truck or van so take them with you just in case. They may even find something that they love for themselves.

These events are always intriguing and sometimes very fruitful. Always be prepared, on time and assertive enough to get bargain prices for a truly productive trip. If you purchase what you truly love and what looks well in your home or office, you will enjoy these items for many years to come.
